Glyco Reset ingredient analysis: what each label line tells you
A Glyco Reset ingredient analysis begins with 22 lines on the panel: chromium (as chromium picolinate) at 0.7 mcg, then one 200 mg Proprietary Blend that names 21 ingredients and gives none of them an amount. Plant extracts, amino acids and a licorice-derived compound sit in that blend. No study we found tested the finished drops.

What are the 22 lines, and what is printed for each?
The panel prints just two numbers, 0.7 mcg for chromium and 200 mg for the blend.
Everything else is a name. Chromium is the single named dose. The other 21 lines split a single total, listed in the label's own order, which under federal rules is by weight, heaviest first (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR), Supplement Facts and proprietary blends).
That order is the only clue to size, and it does not say how far apart the amounts are. A name at the top could hold nearly all of the 200 mg or only a little more than the name below it. A reader cannot tell, and neither can we.
How do the label groups break down?
Four groups cover the blend, and the label itself does not group them.
The comparison. NIH recounts a 1997 trial giving adults with type 2 diabetes 1,000 mcg of chromium picolinate daily. The Adequate Intake, by contrast, is 20 to 35 mcg. (NIH ODS, Chromium fact sheet for professionals)
Read it with care. The studied amount comes from a different product, group and time span. It is not a recommended or effective dose, and no trial tested Glyco Reset.
The comparison. LiverTox cites 400 mg three times daily as a typical gymnema supplement amount. The label's 200 mg has to stretch across twenty-one names. (LiverTox, Gymnema)
Read it with care. The studied amount comes from a different product, group and time span. It is not a recommended or effective dose, and no trial tested Glyco Reset.
The comparison. LiverTox reports liver injury cases at roughly 800 mg to 1.8 g of extract daily. The whole blend totals 200 mg. (LiverTox, Green Tea)
Read it with care. The studied amount comes from a different product, group and time span. It is not a recommended or effective dose, and no trial tested Glyco Reset.
Each full bar is the daily amount used in the one study or reference we cite. The filled part is the most the label could give per dropper: the whole 200 mg blend is shared by 21 names, so any one plant is a fraction of that. The label also does not say whether each name is a powder or an extract, so even this comparison is rough.
The bars set label amounts beside source amounts for three ingredients.
What does research say about these ingredients, and does it apply?
Studies of single ingredients used other amounts and other products, so their results do not carry over to this bottle.
| Group | What we read | Gap |
|---|---|---|
| Chromium picolinate | A federal fact sheet reports a 1,000 mcg trial dose and "highly uncertain" FDA language (NIH ODS, Chromium fact sheet for professionals) | 0.7 mcg is about 1,400 times smaller |
| Green tea, guarana | Caffeine sources; the amount in the bottle is not printed | Caffeine total unknown, so a daily limit cannot be checked |
| Licorice-derived compound | Licorice has been linked to low potassium and high blood pressure at high intake | Amount in the drops unknown |
| Amino acids, maca, astragalus, eleuthero, cayenne, grape seed, grapefruit seed | We found no source | All |
No trial tested this bottle, and a result at other amounts cannot be assumed to apply to it. Related pages: the ingredients overview and the proprietary blend.
Which ingredients deserve a pharmacist's eye?
Caffeine sources, licorice-derived compounds and chromium are the usual items to mention at the counter.
Read the list aloud, and keep taking prescribed medicine (MedlinePlus, Metformin). Mention guarana and green tea if caffeine bothers you, and licorice-derived glycyrrhizinate if you take blood pressure pills.
Only blood tests diagnose diabetes or prediabetes (NIDDK, Diabetes Tests & Diagnosis). Severe low blood sugar, fainting or a seizure is an emergency: call 911. Adults only, and ask first if pregnant or nursing.

FAQ01
Glyco Reset questions people ask
How many ingredients does the Glyco Reset panel list?
Twenty-two lines: chromium (as chromium picolinate) at 0.7 mcg, plus a Proprietary Blend of 200 mg shared by 21 names. The carrier liquid and other ingredients are missing from our notes.
Which ingredient is present in the largest amount?
We cannot say. Blend names are listed in order, which usually means by weight, but no amount is printed for any single name, so the size of each share stays unknown.
